Physical description
Origin
1
A perfectly circular coin of standard size with a helmet stamped on one side and a set of scales on the other. These can be found in all manner of metals including rare and exoctic ones.
These coins are minted by followers of just and noble gods out of gold liberated from the clutches of dragons, demons, criminals and other such evil beings. The pious have no use for jewelry, statues and the like and thus these luxuries are melted down into simple coins. The coins are then used to purchase food and goods for temples, arm and armor holy warriors, and make sacrifices to the gods of justice. Thieves who come upon these coins often scratch them to prevent ill luck.

Inscribed into this 7 sided coin are lines that make up a 7 pointed star. These coins may be found in any common metal.
These coins come from the land of Magav where 7 great wizards are worshipped as gods. Some very religious folk may refuse to take the coins to avoid dealings with the blasphemous land of Magav.

This coin is shaped like a diamond, three it’s  points are rounded while the fourth comes to a point, the whole coin is curved like a tiny bowl. The shape appears to mimic the scale of a large fish or reptile.
These coins replicas of a dragon's scales. They originate in lands populated by warring dragons along with their armies and spawn. Originally the shed scales of one's dragon-lord and the taken scales of enemy dragons were used as currency. Today however the dragons battles have grown large and a vast economy is required to support them necessitating the manufacture of these scale-coins.

A spiderweb pattern has been worked on to each face of this coin with intricacy far above what is common. In fact the pattern on each face is unique to this coin alone. Still, all coins of it’s like are beautiful, their uncanny intricacy causing them to gleam brightly. This artistry may increase their value to some, though the common merchant likely cares only for the value of the metal.
Each one of these coins is carved out of a larger piece of gold by the craftsmen of the unlit land that lies deep underground. These creatures despise all light and fire and thus cannot mold their coins as aboveground kingdoms do. This is made up for by vast numbers of workers and millennia of toil.
